(1) The Committee shall have the following powers and duties in relation to examining the details and documents submitted in accordance with sub-rule (1) of Rule 5:-
(a) If you are not satisfied with the details and documents that have been submitted, submit other documents and inquire about other necessary matters.
(b) Check or count the controlled goods one by one according to the details and documents.
(c) In case of not submitting required documents or not disclosing things that should be disclosed, take account of the reason and if the reason is reasonable, check and if the reason is not reasonable, mention the same in the recommendation.
(d) If during inspection of the controlled goods it is found that the damage is due to someone's negligence or carelessness, mention the name of the person whose negligence or carelessness has caused the loss, and submit a recommendation with his opinion on whether to recover the cost of the damaged goods or take other action.
(e) After checking, the controlled goods found to be useless will be marked as junk so that they are never deleted.
(f) If there are controlled goods that cannot be brought for inspection, check the place where such goods are.
(g) To recommend that the controlled goods deemed as junk be given to any station of the Government of Nepal or any other institution, with or without a price (if the price is taken, the points should be kept).
(h) If the controlled goods need to be washed or destroyed during inspection, and if it is found that the goods can be put into use, from where and in which way it would be cost-effective to repair them, to recommend openly.
(i) When checking the controlled goods as per the description, if it is found to be less due to mental reasons, recommend for the exemption of the less amount.
(2) After the completion of the work as per sub-rule (1), the committee should duly send the recommendation along with its judgment to the authorized department through the relevant level.
(3) If the committee deems it necessary to improve any work within its jurisdiction, the committee shall also have the duty to suggest the same.
